The automation of the three principal sections of the pitch coke division with load matching creates the necessary conditions for comprehensive automation of the entire division and permits: optimization of the technological processes of sedimentation of the pitch tar and production of high temperature pitch (HTP); maintenance of regulation of the supply of components of the original feedstock in the pitch preparation division with consideration of oven capacity; a decrease in the heat losses and an increase in the temperature on the high temperature pitch charged into the ovens by 15-20/sup 0/ C; an improvement in the utilization of the effective oven volume and an increase in oven capacity by 15-20%.
