Fundamental studies with a monodisperse aerosol-based liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry interface (MAGIC-LC/MS)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5169942
We have carried out an extensive study of the particle beam interface from several methods of aerosol generator. First, we have studied the characteristics of the aerosol as a function of the operating parameters of the nebulizer. Second, we have attempted to correlate the aerosol characteristics with the quality of the mass spectra resulting from several different classes of compounds, covering a wide range of volatility and thermal lability. 6 refs., 7 figs.
