The feasibility of pipeline charging by means of superheated steam has been confirmed. In spite of shortcomings in the technology and construction of individual elements of the epxerimental charging system, preheated coal charged by pipeline resulted in an increase in coke oven efficiency and an improvement in the quality of blast furnace coke. 4 references
