Northeast utilities submits plan to acquire PSNH

A rate plan for customers of Public Service Company of New Hampshire that calls for annual increases of 5.5% for a period of several years, and then projects no rate increases for the following three years has been submitted to United States bankruptcy court as a reorganization proposal by Northeast Utilities. The proposal includes a merger agreement that would take effect if regulatory approvals and other conditions are not in place by July 1990.
