An analysis was conducted to develop a cycle life prediction equation for nickel-cadmium battery cells in low earth orbit. The analysis is based on realtime cycle life tests conducted at the Naval Weapons Support Center (NWSC), Crane, Indiana and enables a forecast of useful battery life for a given set of operating conditions. 4 refs.
