This book includes methods for determining optimum sites for mining and preparation facilities and techniques for improving property evaluations and projecting drill core data. Also discussed are considerations in the design of coal preparations plants, the operation of thermal dryers, and interpretation of analytical data for metallurgical coking or steam production purposes. Computer programs are included as well as an appendix which provides guidelines to aid in converting computer programs to accommodate various computing systems.
