Risks associated with waste-fuel use in cement kilns
Journal Article

Risks from lead emissions in kiln dust, released of materials including dioxins during upset conditions, and transportation related accidents are described for a cement kiln burning waste fuels. The disposition of the lead fed to the kiln may be deduced both from prior cement-kiln test burns of hazardous wastes and from studies of municipal refuse incinerators. Cement-kiln test data on the disposition of lead is included.
