An introduction to computational fluid mechanics

Book ·
OSTI ID:5126919
The book presents numerical techniques for solving various problems in fluid mechanics, including those concerning inviscid, viscous, incompressible, and compressible flows. Examples are presented to demonstrate how these problems are solved on a computer. Thirty computer programs, written in FORTRAN, are provided and different tabulating and graphical methods for presenting computer outputs are illustrated. Through illustrative examples, a large variety of problems are solved, with diverse applications to such areas as classical fluid mechanics, aeronautics, ballistics, meteorology, gasdynamics, hydraulics, and magnetohydrodynamics.
