A simple two-channel potential model is used to study the effect of annihilation on the positions and widths of the quasinuclear s-wave resonances in the NNB system. An equation is obtained which gives the shift of the quasinuclear levels as a function of the channel-coupled constant lambda. It is shown that under certain conditions the inclusion of annihilaton leads to a decrease of the total resonance width. The physical reason for this phenomenon is discussed. The dependence of the partial widths of the quasinuclear resonances on the constant lambda is obtained. It is also shown that for lambda..-->.. +- the annihilation width GAMMA/sub an/..-->..0 and that small shifts of the quasinuclear levels are compatible with the large annihilation cross section that is observed experimentally.
