Evaluation of air pollution effects on vegetation

This course was intended for scientists and engineers in air pollution programs. The problems relative to the sampling of a plant population and the interpretation of the data were covered. Characteristic plant damage caused by fluorides, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercury, ethylene, acetylene, propylene, carbon monoxide, boron, ozone, and smog were stressed. Atmospheric sampling and analysis of these pollutants which adversely affect plant life are briefly discussed.
