Moving longwall equipment safety

The steps in safe longwall movement in coal mine operations are presented. Moving is essentially made up of the casing, repair, transport, and installation of the self-advancing (powered) support. Direct longwall moving with only partial assemble of powered supports is distinguished from moving which requires disassembly of the self-advancing supports into transportable units.
