From structural analysis the authors have shown in a previous investigation that the series TlBa{sub 2}Cu{sub n}Cu{sub n+1}O{sub 2n+5} and Tl{sub 2}Ba{sub 2}Ca{sub n}Cu{sub n+1}O{sub 2n+6} are composed of superconductor-semiconductor arrays. In this paper, they demonstrate that the unit cell of the Tl{sub 2}Ba{sub 2}Ca{sub n+1}O{sub 2n+6} series can further be viewed as composed of a composite block of superconductor-metal-semiconductor, where TlBa{sub 2}CuO{sub 5} is the fundamental superconductor, TlO the metallic unit, and CaCuO{sub 2} the semiconductor block. It is indicated that the {Tc} of Tl(2201) can be deduced from that of Tl(1201) based on Kresin's model of composite systems.
