Interdependencies 1989, Part II: Will a new energy policy mean a comeback for US natural gas
The latest projection of US natural gas demand from a trade association specialist puts 2010 demand above peak levels in the 1970s. There are several reasons for such energy industry expectations, not least of which is reborn interest in creation of a comprehensive US energy policy. This issue continues its special coverage of March 1989 seminars held by the International Research Center for Energy and Economic Development in Boulder, Colorado, USA. This issue also contains the following: (1) the ED refining netback data series for the US Gulf and West Coasts, Rotterdam, and Singapore as of May 19, 1989; and (2) the ED fuel price/tax series for countries of the Eastern Hemisphere, May 1989 edition. 3 figs., 5 tabs.
