OSTI ID:5056438
The Cold Lake Production Project, with an eventual production of up to 25,400 cubic meters per day of crude bitumen from the tar sand deposit, will be fully developed in 18 modular phases of 1500 cubic meters per phase. Details are given of the expansion planned in Phases 7-10. In conditionally approving the expansion, ERCB identified five issues of public interest: make-up fuel source; additional fresh water make-up volumes required during the start-up period; property liens; general environmental concerns; and project cost benefit analysis. These issues are described.
