Experience in use of zeolite-containing catalysts in hydrotreating petroleum cuts

Some new catalysts for hydrotreating petroleum (to remove sulfur- and nitrogen-containing compounds) have been developed: an alumina-nickel-molybdenum catalyst modified with zeolite designated GK-35; and a new zeolitic catalyst GKD-202. Data is presented which shows that these zeolite-containing systems are promising catalysts for use in upgrading various types of petroleum feedstocks by hydrotreating.
