HVAC controls: operation and maintenance. [Glossary included]
Based on the author's more than 40 years' experience in the field, HVAC controls: operation and maintenance is the most extensive and complete reference ever published on the subject. Fourteen chapters cover topics including basic functions of HVAC systems and control systems, HVAC equipment-to-control interactions, performance prediction in ATC systems, and the mathematics of control systems (controller equations). Control system maintenance is examined from every aspect, including maintaining electric and electronic control systems, maintaining pneumatic control systems, and maintaining local loop to EMCS interfaces. Tools and fixtures used in ATC systems operation and maintenance are reviewed, and a separate chapter explains how to train HVAC controls operating and maintenance personnel. Each chapter has been abstracted separately for inclusion on the Energy Data Base.
