Processes with large p/sub T/ in pp and. pi. p collisions

The experimental data on the process pp..--> pi../sup 0/X in the region of large p/sub T/ are described in the model of pion exchange on the basis of the data of experiments on the process ..pi../sup -/p..--> pi../sup 0/X. The parameters of the model correspond to the values obtained from the analysis of the inclusive spectra of neutrons and the ..delta.. isobar. The significance of the results for quark-parton models is discussed.
