An application of a glass redox electrode EO-01 for potentiometric studies of the kinetics of radiation-stimulated oxidation of sulfur dioxide by molecular oxygen is investigated. Some properties of the glass electrode placed into the radiation zone are described. The kinetics of radiation-stimulated oxidation of sulfur dioxide by molecular oxygen is studied in perchloric acid. A method of calculating the radiation chemical yield of oxygen consumption is proposed and the ratios of the rate constants of intermediate reactions are calculated.
