Bootstrap procedure in the quasinuclear model of quarks

The scattering amplitude for quarks (dressed quarks of a single flavor and three colors) is obtained by a bootstrap procedure with the introduction of a bare point-like interaction due to heavy-gluon exchange. The resulting quasinuclear model (an effective short-range interaction in S-wave states) has reasonable properties: there are colorless meson states J/sup P/ = 0/sup -/ and 1/sup -/, there are no bound states in colored channels, and there is a virtual diquark level J/sup P/ = 1/sup +/ in the colored state 3/sub c/.
