If the top quark decays dominantly via a charged Higgs boson {ital t}{r arrow}{ital bH}{sup +}, as occurs if {ital m}{sub {ital t}}{lt}M{sub W}+m{sub b} and {ital m}{sub {ital H}{sup {plus minus}}}{lt}m{sub t}{minus}m{sub b}, the conventional top-quark signals at {ital p{bar p}} colliders (based on {ital t}{r arrow}{ital bW}{sup *} charged-current decays) are suppressed. Distinctive new signals appear, based on {ital H}{sup +}{r arrow}{bar {tau}}{nu} decays; they include events with large missing {ital p}{sub {ital T}}, events with isolated {tau} jets or leptons plus hadronic jets, and events with two isolated {tau} jets. We calculate typical cross sections and distributions for the Fermilab Tevatron {ital p{bar p}} collider; the results are sensitive to the {ital H}{r arrow}{tau}{nu} branching fraction, that may well be large.
