Determination of the in-pile irradiation parameters of structural materials. Resistance variation detector (in French)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4938540
From meeting of the Euratom working group on irradiation devices; Saclay, France: (24 May 1973). The GAMIN graphite detector is particularly well suited for determining the fluences characteristic of radioactivity induced damage of pile materials. It enables the index SIGMA = graphite damage flux/ nickel flux, to be measured. A series of values obtained for different types of reactors in Europe are presented. A knowledge of SIGMA enables the graphite fluences to be determined, a simple interpretation permitting the damage fluences characteristic of other substances to be established. A tungsten detector can be used to obtain a refinement of these results. (FR)
