Annual progress report of the Grenoble Research Group, January 1 to December 31, 1972 (in French)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4937096
The general activities of the General lon Service during 1972 are presented: research on hot electron plasmas produced and heated by electron cyclotron resonance; construction of toroidal machines (PETULA and WEGA) for the study of hf heating. Research on closed configurations concerned, principally, hf heating, energy balance equations, the effect of heating on the diffusion of particles as well as the effect of the form of the straight section of a tokamak- type discharge on the MHD stability. The following hot electron rnachines were studied: the 25kW CIRCE, and whole and half-bottle configurations. (FR)
