Current status of tokamak research in France

Results obtained in tokamak research at Fontenay-aux-Roses and Grenoble are reported. The TFR, Petula, and Wega devices are described. The auxiliary heating methods used in them are also described. The basic physical results obtained in recent years through ohmic and auxiliary heating are reported. Some changes which have taken place in the research program are pointed out.
