The gamma and the electron conversion spectra of /sup 138/Nd and /sup 138m,g/Pr were studied. The multipole orders of a series of gamma transitions were established. I/sup pi / = 0/sup +/ or 2/sup +/, 0/sup +/ or 2/sup +/, 1/ sup +/, and 1/sup +/ were assigned to the 194.2, 199.5, 326.9, and 541.1-keV levels of /sup 138/Pr, respectively. It was proposed to interpret these states as due to the vibration state of the even-even nucleus in the one-frequency state of the unpaired nucleon. A series of new states in /sup 138/Ce were reported. (tr-auth)
