Principle of Booles Algebra and Synthetic Methods Derived with a View to Their Automatic Safety Applications in Atomic Piles; PRINCIPE DE L'ALGEBRE DE BOOLE ET DES METHODES DE SYNTHESE DERIVEES EN VUE DE LEUR APPLICATION AUX AUTOMATISMES DESTINES A LA SECURITE DES PILES ATOMIQUES

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4844176
Since automation development is important from the safety point of view in reactor control, it is essential to use the most reliable methods possible in the design of shutdown circuits. The theorems of Boolean algebra are outlined, and several methods for optimizing these theorems are reviewed. The application of the theorems to several practical examples is shown. A review is given of oneentry circuits having several exits, and of circuits whose logical function is symmetric, assuming that the time factor doe s not intervene during operation. (auth)
