Thermal, microscopic, and x-ray-diffraction analyses were made of chromium-rich Cr- Ni alloy, and the constitution diagram constructed on the basis of the obtained data shows the presence of four two-phase regions alpha + beta , beta + gamma , gamma + delta , delta + sigma . Three eutectoid transformations appear at mation was confirmed at 1220 deg C and 32% Ni. The results also confirm the presence of five chromium modifications. (R.V.J.)
