The 2+ spin assignment for the 1378-kev level in Po214 was checked, and the mixing ratio for the 769-kev gamma ray was determined. A coincidence spectrometer was used. The source material consisted of 30 mu c of RaCl2 in HCl in equilibrium with its decay products. The data confirm the suggestion that the 1378-kev level is the second 2+ level. The mixing ratio for the 769-kev gamma is 95% quadrupole and 5% dipole radiation. (L.N.N.)
