Spectrophotometric Determination of Uranium with Sodium 2",6"-dichloro-4'-hydroxy-3,3'-dimethylfuchsone-5,5'-dicarboxylate

A procedure was developed for the spectrophotometric determination of small amounts of uranium with sodium 2", 6" -dicliloro-4' -hydroxy-3, 3' - dimethylfuchsone-5, 5' dicarboxylate. Beer's law is obeyed up to about 9 gamma of uranium per milliliter. The accuracy and precision are satisfactory and interference of foreign ions is eliminated by using an anion exchange resin.
