SEASONAL VARIATIONS OF CAESIUM-137 IN AIR AT GROUND-LEVEL
Data are presented on the Cs/sup 137/ concentrations, gross beta activity, and ratios of Cs/sup 137/ to gross beta activity at Bombay, India, from 1956 through 1960. Monthly Cs/sup 137/ data are included for 7 other stations in India for the years 1959 and 1960. An increase in Cs/sup 137/ during the early spring is attributed to seasonal effects due to mixing between -the stratosphere and the troposphere. (C.H.)
