The High Flux Reactor at Petten went critical November 9, 1961. The reactor was furnished by Allis-Chalmers. The following details are described: reactor formation. reactor tank, reactor core, control rods, shielding, beam tubes, irradiation facilities, cooling systems, and reactor building. The reactor fuel consists of 90% enriched uranium; the maximum power amounts to 20 Mw. A short description is given of the Argonaut-type 10 kw Low Flux Rcactor at Petten. (NPO)
