Radiation Protection with Sulphur and Some Sulphur-containing Compounds
Colloidal sulfur suspensions of very low concentrations (5 to 50 mu g/ cc) are reported to have an efficient protective effect against radioinduced crosslinking in polydimethyl siloxane fluids and dilute aqueous solutions of polyvinylpyrrolidone. A similar protective effect was shown by many sulfur compounds in the polyvinylpyrrolidone solutions. (D.L.C.)
