ELECTROMAGNETIC TRANSITIONS 6.92 $Yields$ 6.13 Mev AND 7.12 $Yields$ 6.13 Mev IN O$sup 1$$sup 6$ (in French)

Journal Article · · Phys. Letters

Reactions F/sup 19/(p, alpha )O/sup 16/ have large cross sections for the excitation of the O/sup 16/ 7.12- and 6.92-Mev levels at proton energies of 2030 and 874 kev, respectively. The branching ratio for 0.99 Mev--6.13 Mev/7.12 Mev is estimated to be (8 plus or minus 2) x 10/sup -4/, and that for 0.79 Mev-- 6.13 Mev/6.92 to be (2.5 plus or minus 1.5)x 10/sup -4/. (T.F.H.)
