Two-photon decay of the 6.05-MeV state of $sup 16$O

A triple-coincidence, five-parameter technique was employed to search for two-photon emission in the decay of the $sup 16$O(6.05-MeV) state. Data were event-recorded and analyzed in parallel with events associated with decay of the $sup 16$O(6.13-MeV) and the $sup 16$O(7.12-MeV) states. Our measured branching ratio is N/sub $gamma$$gamma$//N/sub $pi$/ = (2.5+-1.1) x10$sup -4$. (AIP)
