Graft copolymerization of monomers can be carried out efficiently by slight chlorination with gamma irradiation. Studies were made on radiation- induced graft copolymerization of chlorinated polyethylene (methyl methacrylate, styrene, vinyl pyridene, and vinyl pyrrolidone) by the direct method and preirradiation method. Experimental results are tabulated. The efficiency of graft copolymerization of polymers can be increased markedly by ionic irradiation using a weak dosage. (OID)
