The release-wire type radioisotope radiographic system consists of a source container, a source-transfer tube, a control system, and a cart. The Pb- shielded, cast-iron framed maze-type source container has no shutter system. A key switch is provided to prevent the movement of the source when the apparatus is moved about. The source consists of l mm dia. x 1 mm long Co/sup 60/ pellets in double SUS-33-tyne capsules. The source travels in the flexible tube and can be manipulated manually or by a motordriven mechanism. The system is designed for maximum health protection. (OID)
