An automatic titrimetric apparatus is designed which is particularly suitable for titration of radioactive liquids. The apparatus comprises a bulk sampling device, a metering device, a titration vessel, a valve-controlled pneumatic system for operating the sampling and metering devices in sequence and for transferring the sample to the titration vessel, and an electrical control system for operating the valves of the pneumatic system. Means for electrolytic production of titrant and for indicating the end point of the titration may be associated with the control system. The advantage of the apparatus with respect to radioactive liquids is elimination of manual remote-control operations and of heavy shielding. (D.L.C.)
