A postulate is introduced concerning the divergence of the vector part of the baryon current, which results from nonconservation of strangeness. The postulate of GellMann and Levy regarding the divergence of the axial part of the baryon current is accepted, with the modification that the pi -meson operator is replaced by the K-meson operator. It is thus found to be possible to determine the relation between the lepton decay probability of the LAMBDA hyperon and the probabilities for K/sub mu 2/ and K/sub e3/ processes. It is found that the vector variant is very important in lepton decay of the LAMBDA hyperon. (auth)
