AN EFFICIENT LARGE CURRENT MICROTRON (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zhur. Eksptl'. i Teoret. Fiz.
OSTI ID:4836110
The construction of a high current microtron is considered in which electrons are accelerated up to energies 613 Mev, the pulse currents being 20-5 ma, respectively. The conditions of operation of an efficient thermal cathode made of lanthanum boride in the high-frequency field of the accelerating cavity are examined. The efficiency of the accelerator is estimated and the main parameters of the latter, derived by calculations and confirmed experimentally, are presented. (auth)
