By using an ion-exchange equipment, 4.4 kg of 92% La/sub 2/O/sub 3/ is purified and 3.4 kg of 99.9% La/sub 2/O/sub 3/ is obtained. Besides, from the solution effluent from ion exchange equipments, - EDTA and copper are obtained with recovery rates of 90% and 98%. (auth)
