An outiine is given of some developments in the use of radioisotopes in radiation interaction technlques and tracer applications. In regards to radiation interaction techniques, the following types of gages are described and the methods used with these gages are explained: level, radiation absorption, and preferential radiation absorption gages. The following tracer applications are also described: velocity measurements, flow pattern investigation in liquids and solids, dilution technique, wear and lubrication studies, and liquid and gas leak detection.
