STUDY OF SOFT COMPONENT OF COSMIC RAYS BEYOND THE LIMITS OF THE ATMOSPHERE

Journal Article · · Ann. Intern. Geophys. Yr.
OSTI ID:4833083
A scintillation counter with twice the efficiency of a Geiger counter for photon recording was placed in the third Soviet satellite. Measurements of the electronic component of cosmic rays in the polar region, the zone of high intensity in the equatorial region, and the actinic gamma radiation were made. Data are represented graphically. (L.N.N.)
