TRAWSFYNYDD POWER STATION. PART I. HEAT-EXCHANGER FABRICATION

Journal Article · · Welding and Metal Fabrication
OSTI ID:4832465

Fabrication techniques used in the construction of the heat exchanger for the Trawsfynydd power station are described. Due to the size of the heat exchanger shell, it is necessary to carry out an appreciable amount of the work in a shop built on site. For technical and economic reasons, however, the greater part of the work is carried out in the shop and delivered in the largest possible components. The equipment used for transportation and fabrication is briefly described. The welding procedures and testing methods are also briefly described. (N.W.R.)
