Progress on a high speed computer program includes system construction, subsystem tests on the main arithmetic unit, circuit designs, interplay system designs, and magnetic drum memory development. Studies are reported of tunnel- diode, failsafe, and supersaturated transistor circuits. Techniques for using computers in Monte Carlo investigations in quantum statistics are described. The uses and operation of tbe Illiac and IBM 650 computers are reviewed. (T.F.H.)
