Analysis was made of the PMA-40 slab core experiments described in KM- JJS-2, These experiments were performcd with the explicit purpose of obtaining data that could be used in evaluating different methods of generating cross sections. The analytical and experimental results are utilized in a partial evaluation of two cross-section routines used to determine muitigroup constants, WOXX and MUFT-SOFOCATE. In addition to reactivity cocfficient calculations, analytical flux distributions, reflector savings, and fuel self-shielding are also compared to the experimental values. (auth)
