PARTIAL WIDTHS OF THE 16.11-MEV STATE IN C$sup 1$$sup 2$

The alpha spectrum, gamma spectrum, and the ratio of gamma to alpha yield are measured for the I63-kev B/sup 11/ + p resonance that forms the l6.ll- Mev state in C/sup 12/. The results arc combined with the total width and gamma yield to give values for the gamma widths, the partial alpha width for decay to the Be/sup 8/ ground state, and the proton width. The values found for the partial widths are shown to be in agreement with the independent-particle model predictions. (auth)
