A link for the restraint system of a graphite reactor structure is designed for increased ability to function despite corrosion. The link comprises a nest of coaxial tubes for compressive loads, a plurality of pairs of end plates, a pair of couplings attached to the outermost pair of end plates, and a plurality of groups of tie rods for carrying tensile loads.
