CALIBRATION OF FUEL ELEMENT THERMOCOUPLES

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4830511
Tests in the thermocouple rig showed that fuel plate thermocouples of the type that will be used on the HTRE H-2 core will have an error of approximately 76 deg F if the a-c welder is used, 58 deg F if the d-c welder is used, and 82 deg F if the a-c welder is used with the wires not flattened.
