CALIBRATION OF RHENIUM-MOLYBDENUM AND RHENIUM-TUNGSTEN THERMOCOUPLES TO 4000 F

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4344731

Calibration curves to 4000 deg F were established for rhenium -- molybdenum and rhenium --tungsten thermocouples in vacuum, hydrogen, or inert atmospheres. The practical application of rhenium --molybdenum thermocouples is limited to measurements up to 3200 deg F. Rhenium --tungsten thermocouples, however, measure temperatures up to and apparently higher than 4000 deg F. (auth)
