A review is given of the radiochemmcal pmroblems of nuclear fuels. The survey included a study of the dependency of the fission products in the range fronm one second to 32 years. The extraction of uranyl nitrate with diethyl ether, tributyl phosphate, cyclopentanone, metbylcyclohexanone, and other ketones is studied; and some analytical studies are mentioned (the determination of uranyl nitrate mn the presence of nitric acid, the determination of uranium in TBP, the determination of strontium, yttrium, cesium, etc.). Some methods of separation are described. (N.W.R.)
