THE HEAT CONDUCTIVITY OF GASEOUS PARA-ORTHO HYDROGEN MIXTURES AT 20 K (in German)

Journal Article · · Z. Naturforsch
OSTI ID:4830018
With a differential method, the relative differences of the heat conductivity of para-hydrogen and various mixtures of para- and ortho-hydrogen were measured at 20 deg K. It was shown that the para-hydrogen possesses a heat conductivity about (5.84 plus or minus 0.30)% greater than normal hydrogen and that the heat conductivity of the mixtures has negative second derivatives as a function of the ortho-hydrogen concentration. The results agree with corresponding viscosity measurements by Becker and Stehl and as yet give no complete theoretical interpretation. (tr-auth)
